A Race to Remember 5K

The A Race to Remember 5K begins and ends at the Courtyard Rome Riverwalk in Rome, Georgia. The 5K starts at 8:00 a.m., with a 1-mile Health Walk beginning at 8:15. A Night to Remember Foundation presents the event, which raises funds for dementia care needs, the Regional Caring Closet, the Local Grant Program, and the Alzheimer’s Association. Professional RFID timing is provided by Wire2Wire Running, and all participants receive a t-shirt. The 5K follows a USATF-certified out-and-back course, certificate GA21014WC. It travels along the Oostanaula River and includes a trail near the Post Office. Organizers describe the course as flat, fast, and fun, suitable for runners aiming for a personal best and walkers supporting the cause. The theme is “Heroes Run,” with participants encouraged to wear costumes of their favorite heroes. A discount code is available for teams of five or more. The top male and female finishers will each receive a complimentary night at the Courtyard Rome Riverwalk.
