Aging in Community, New Salem 5K

The Aging in Community, New Salem 5K is a local 5K race in downtown New Salem, North Dakota. Sign-in is at the historic Metropolitan Hotel for a morning start. NDSU Aging in Community organizes the race, which supports aging well in rural North Dakota and sends proceeds to New Salem Hunger Relief, the community food pantry. The route follows 8th Street and passes Salem Sue, the World’s Largest Holstein Cow, a memorable course detail. After the run, the event concludes on Main Street with a street fair. Participants are encouraged to bring family and friends.
