Akron Pickle Fest 5K

The Akron Pickle Fest 5K begins at 9:00 AM in Downtown Akron, with the event base at 200 S Main St. This 5K run/walk, held annually since 2009, opens the Akron Pickle Fest. Participants can choose an adult 5K, a youth 5K, or a Run with Your Dog division, accommodating everyone from children and first-time runners to adults racing with their pets. The race maintains its festival spirit, evident in team names like Purple Turtles, Picklettes, Bill Dill Energy, SLOhio Spear Squad, Bread and Butter, and Twerkin' Gherkins. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three in age groups ranging from young runners to the 80-plus bracket. Following the 5K awards, the Pickle Fest commences immediately, making the morning run the initial event of a downtown pickle-themed celebration.
