The AmeriHealth Atlantic City race weekend takes place on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey, featuring a marathon, half marathon, 10K, and the G. Larry James 5K. The marathon, established in 1958, ranks as the third oldest continuously held marathon in the United States. The marathon and half marathon routes traverse Atlantic City, Ventnor, Margate, and Longport on Absecon Island, combining sections of the casino-front Boardwalk with adjacent beachside communities. Participants also have the option to undertake King Neptune Challenge combinations, linking either the marathon or half marathon with the 10K or 5K for an expanded race weekend.
