Batavia United Way Bat Race 5K & 10K 2026

The Batavia United Way Bat Race 5K & 10K is a Halloween-themed running and walking event in downtown Batavia, Illinois, starting at River and State Street near 31 North River Street. This October race features a 10K, a 5K, and a kids' quarter-mile fun run. The main distances include separate entries for adults and students. The event is chip-timed and welcomes more than just fast runners; walkers, students, families, and children are all accommodated. The course follows the Fox River Bike Path, offering a riverfront route through Batavia instead of a standard road loop. Participants come from approximately 30 nearby zip codes, and the race has been held for over ten years.
