Camino De Los Muertos is a trail race themed around Dia de los Muertos, held at LLELA, the Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area, in Lewisville, Texas, within the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Runners can select distances ranging from a 5K to a 100K, with 10K, 25K, and 50K options available, alongside a one-mile youth trail run for children aged 12 and under.
The races commence from East Jones Street, utilizing trails within a restored nature park instead of urban streets. LLELA's history includes periods as farmland and later as condemned land for flood control following the construction of the Lewisville Lake dam, eventually becoming a green space surrounded by suburban development. The University of North Texas and the City of Lewisville are currently involved in restoring its native flora, trees, and fauna. Participants are provided with both gun time and chip time, though awards are determined by gun time.
