Charlotte County Habitat's 27th Annual Turkey Trot 2025 5K Run / Fun Walk 2026

Charlotte County Habitat’s Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving morning 5K run and fun walk held at Florida SouthWestern State College’s Punta Gorda campus. Southern Oxygen & Welding Supply presents the event, hosted by the college and affiliated with Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity. Its largest editions have drawn close to a thousand participants, with runners and walkers sharing the same holiday start. The route remains on the FSW College campus in Punta Gorda, a straightforward 5K. The race has been held for over 28 years. A unique mascot tradition involves a Bicycle Riding Turkey that participants can chase. Entry fees, proceeds, and donations support affordable housing initiatives and assist Charlotte County families in achieving homeownership.
