The Conquer Cancer Walk/Run is a family-friendly morning event held at Rowlett Park in Tampa, Florida, beginning at Shelter 218. Participants can select a 5K, 2K, 1 Mile Walk/Run, 1 Mile Kids Fun Run, or a virtual 5K. Timed bibs are offered for the 5K and 2K distances.
The shorter courses follow a simple lap format: the 1 Mile consists of one lap, and the 2K is two laps. The event is open to all ages and fitness levels, drawing a diverse crowd of children, walkers, timed runners, volunteers, and spectators. The event's objective is to raise funds and awareness for cancer survivorship and initiatives across all cancer types. Proceeds support Enlightened Florida’s mission and the Young Survivors Network, which assists young women diagnosed with breast cancer. Following the race, a free Health Fair will feature screenings, seminars, fitness demonstrations, a Kids Zone, vendors, and entertainment.
