Coronado Heights Run

The Coronado Heights Run is an annual race morning in Lindsborg, starting at Main and Lincoln streets with the finish nearby. Runners can select the 15K or 5K, walkers have a 2-mile fun walk, and younger children have a 1-mile youth run. The walk begins at 7:15am, the 5K and 15K start at 7:30am, and the youth run commences at 8:30am. The 15K is largely a flat country-road race, but Coronado Heights is situated in the middle: a challenging 1-mile climb and descent on a rough circular road, with approximately 300 feet of elevation change. The route proceeds north on Main Street after the start, and aid stations offer water and split times. The event originated as a Bethany College fitness program and now attracts local runners, walkers, students, families, and children of various ages.
