Edragon SA 5k Summer Series

The Edragon SA 5k Summer Series consists of five 5k races held in various San Antonio parks. The series follows a straightforward approach: affordable entry fees, official chip timing, clearly marked courses, water stations on the route and at the finish, and packet pickup at the park before each race. A free 1-mile run for children 12 and under begins before the 5k. The races cater to runners seeking a fast, uncomplicated 5k with accurate timing for comparison. Organizers note the courses are designed to be conducive to personal-record attempts. Awards are given in 5-year age groups, from younger runners up to 70-plus, with Fleet Feet gift certificates as prizes. Each event features a fastest-group competition based on the top five finishers, optional shirts in various colors, race photos by J&B Photography, and a finisher medal for series participants who complete a minimum of three events. E-Dragon Productions also directs proceeds from the series to the San Antonio Running Scholarship.
