The Fall Back into the Trails Series is a trail race weekend held at Red Wing Recreation Area in Lagrangeville, New York. It is structured around a repeating 10k loop that includes significant climbing. C.T.W Endurance organizes the event, offering race distances from a single hard lap to a full ultramarathon. The 10k involves one loop with approximately 1,000 feet of elevation gain. The 50k consists of five loops, totaling about 5,000 feet of elevation gain. The 100k comprises ten loops, each with about 1,000 feet of gain.
The loop format simplifies navigation but presents a challenge to completion, particularly for 50k and 100k participants who repeatedly return to the same support area while accumulating climbs. The organizer provides continuous aid and support throughout the event. 50k runners have the option to camp at the race site on the Saturday preceding their race. Both the 50k and 100k are UTMB Index races, attracting trail runners seeking official ultra results alongside local participants competing in the shorter distance. Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers, and all participants receive a finisher award or custom medal. Sponsors for the series include Path Projects and Skratch.
