FREC 5k Race Series Presented by Michelob Ultra and Coca-Cola Bottling Company

The FREC 5K Race Series is a three-race fall series in Downtown Albany, with each 5K starting at the Veterans Amphitheatre. It is presented by Michelob Ultra and Coca-Cola Bottling Company, and runners can enter as individuals or groups. The races run rain or shine; start times and entry costs depend on the specific race. The series sends runners through Downtown Albany, focusing on the area's history and central streets. Its three races are the Pink Run, presented by Phoebe Putney Health Systems; the Monster Dash, presented by Smile Doctors; and the Turkey Trot, presented by GA Farm Bureau. FREC started the series during the pandemic, when entertainment venues were closed, as a way to give the community something active to do outdoors.
