Graniterock River Run

The Graniterock River Run guides runners and walkers through Graniterock’s active Southside Sand and Gravel Quarry, located at 5632 Airline Highway in Hollister, California. This Saturday morning event begins at 8:00 a.m. and features a 5K run/walk, plus a 1-mile untimed fun run/walk. The format accommodates individuals and families, with a family registration option for groups of four or more. The course crosses the quarry itself, not its perimeter. Participants will see sand-and-gravel operations, the San Benito River banks, and detailed views of rock-processing machinery. This industrial environment is the race’s main draw: it combines a community run with an exclusive look inside a facility typically viewed only from the highway.
