For 24 hours, Greensprings 24 poses a single question: how far can you keep moving? This is an endurance race on the Greensprings Interpretive Trail in Williamsburg, Virginia, starting and finishing at 3751 John Tyler Highway. The race runs from 8 a.m. to 8 a.m. the following morning. The format is intentionally flexible: runners can aim for 50 miles, complete a marathon, walk steady laps, or simply test their physical limits.
The course follows the Greensprings Interpretive Trail, shifting the challenge from navigation to managing time, effort, nutrition, and morale over a full day and night. The event supports The Arc of Greater Williamsburg, an organization serving adults with disabilities. Volunteers assist in keeping participants moving. This is a relatively new race, offering strategy notes, past results, and a runner handbook for those who prefer to plan their pacing rather than improvise for 24 hours.
