Headwaters Monster Mash Fun Run Dash

The Headwaters Monster Mash Fun Run Dash, an autumn 5K and kids' race day in Manito Park on Spokane's South Hill, includes costumes and candy. The 5K begins in the morning with chip timing, followed by the Kids' Fun Run offering 1-mile, half-mile, and quarter-mile distances for younger participants. The event is designed for families. Parents can complete the 5K and then join their children for the Fun Run. Adults can also walk or run with kids throughout the entire course. Children finishing the Fun Run receive candy goodie bags. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes. All proceeds benefit Active4Youth, a local nonprofit providing free elementary running programs in Spokane-area school districts and supporting after-school activities for children.
