Hearts for Muscles is a 5K run/walk in Naples, Florida, located at Baker Park off Goodlette-Frank Road in downtown Naples. The Dion Foundation organizes the event to raise awareness of Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy and fund work aimed at speeding treatments for children with the disease. The main 5K begins at 9:00 a.m., alongside a Youth 5K for participants age 16 and under.
The event is chip-timed, designed for both runners and walkers, with walkers asked to start at the rear. Finishers can view their time on a clock at the finish line, and awards are presented to the top three male and top three female finishers. Post-race activities include an awards ceremony, raffle prizes, music, food, and booths from local businesses and sponsors, all located near the finish by the white tents and photo backdrop. Finisher medals are available for the first 150 registrants, and free parking is provided at the Baker Park location on Riverside Circle.
