The Houston Methodist Sugar Land Half Marathon, 10k, & Mile is an October running event in Sugar Land, Texas, held at Smart Financial Centre. Participants can select a half marathon, a 10k, or a mile race, accommodating long-distance runners, short-distance racers, and families. This event is part of the Lone Star Race Series, with Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine serving as the title sponsor. The half marathon and 10k feature a true loop course without out-and-back segments. The route extends further along Austin Parkway, bypasses the former half-marathon turnaround on Commonwealth, and directs runners toward the finish from behind the venue rather than around the parking lot. The course is a single loop with predominantly right turns. This redesign allows parking to remain accessible after the race begins, simplifying departures for spectators and runners. Following the finish, the event includes a post-race party with food and live music.
