The IncredibleBank Clear For Takeoff 5K is an annual 5K held in Wausau, Wisconsin, run entirely on the taxiways and runways of Wausau Downtown Airport. It begins in the morning from the airport area on Woods Place and is connected to Wings Over Wausau and Wausau's BIG Weekend, making the event resemble an airport open day more than a typical road race. The course takes runners onto active airport pavement, with vintage and contemporary aircraft positioned as static displays. Pilots and aircraft owners offer encouragement from the sidelines, and participants might run with members of various branches of the US Armed Forces. Following the race, the Wausau Noon Kiwanis Club provides a pancake breakfast included with registration, awards are presented, and a swearing-in ceremony for new military recruits takes place.
