This race perpetuates the legacy and honors the life and sacrifice of J.P. Blecksmith, a Marine 2nd Lieutenant killed in Fallujah, Iraq, while leading his Marines. Proceeds support memorial scholarships and veterans' memorials around the San Gabriel Valley, keeping his memory and leadership alive.
