Let’s Make Pink Just a Color is a local annual 5K and 1.5-mile fun run/walk focused on breast cancer support. The race honors Brittany Kelley, the founder, who died after fighting stage 3 triple-negative breast cancer. Brittany started the event as a community project, and it quickly drew more than 400 participants and raised over $38,000 in its first year. The next edition passed $50,000, with all funds staying local to help patients with practical items such as chemo port access shirts, surgical bras, and drain bulb shower aids.
