Market Mile

The Market Mile is a one-mile walk/run in St. Louis that proceeds directly down Market Street, beginning near Kiener Plaza. It is designed as a community event with a straightforward approach: participants can race, walk, or move through the course at their own pace. The route offers a clear, single mile through the city, concluding with an after-party at Union Station. The event supports local nonprofits focused on housing, public safety, green spaces, and youth programs, specifically naming Peter & Paul Community Services, BackStoppers, Great Rivers Greenway, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis. Participants receive a keychain, and awards recognize categories beyond overall winners, including masters, age-group, non-binary, and athletes with disabilities.
