MERCY HEALTH GLASS CITY MARATHON 2027

The Mercy Health Glass City Marathon is a spring marathon in Toledo, Ohio, run on a fast, flat 26.2-mile course organized by the Toledo Roadrunners Club. It draws a marathon field of up to 2,000 runners and is built for speed: it regularly ranks among the top 25 fastest marathons, and more than a third of the field runs a Boston Marathon qualifying time. The weekend also offers shorter races, with the Owens Corning Half Marathon, the Savage 5K, and the North Star BlueScope 5-Person Marathon Relay sharing the broader Glass City setup. The marathon and half marathon start on the University of Toledo campus and finish inside Glass Bowl Stadium, giving the race a clear college-campus anchor rather than a generic downtown finish. The half marathon covers 13.1 miles with about 3,000 runners, while the Savage 5K starts by the Clock Tower and ends on the stadium field with more than 1,000 finishers. The full marathon’s speed record is not just marketing: the race has produced the fourth-fastest American marathon, the fastest American marathon debut, the fastest marathon run in Ohio, and Olympic Marathon Trials qualifying performances.
