Monster Mash Dash Halloween Run 2026

The Monster Mash Dash Halloween Run is a costume-friendly 5K and kids' run held in Manito Park on Spokane's South Hill. The main 5K begins in the morning and uses chip timing, allowing runners to treat it as a competitive event even with Halloween costumes. The event also features a Kids' Fun Run following the 5K, with 1-mile, half-mile, and quarter-mile distances suitable for various ages and abilities. The event is designed for families; many parents participate in the 5K before joining their children for the Fun Run. Adults can walk or run with children along the course, and finishers receive candy goodie bags. This marks the 17th year for the race, with all proceeds benefiting Active4Youth, a local nonprofit providing free elementary running programs within Spokane Public Schools, West Valley School District, and Central Valley School District.
