Priority Business Solutions Freedom 5K & Kid's Fun Run 2026

The Priority Business Solutions Freedom 5K & Kid's Fun Run takes place on Fourth of July morning in Cape Coral, Florida, utilizing the Cape Coral Bridge. The primary event is a 5K run/walk commencing at 7:00 a.m. from the Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral on Cape Coral Parkway. A separate kids' fun run for those 12 and under follows the 5K. The Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral presents the event, which features a veterans registration category for individuals who have served or are active or retired military personnel. The bridge is incorporated into the race-day configuration and closes for the holiday. Runners traveling from Fort Myers should use the Mid-Point Bridge. Proceeds benefit the Brotherhood of Heroes Resource Center and Museum and the Special Operations Communicators Association. A Veterans Ceremony, including a Challenge Coin Ceremony, is held post-race, lending the morning a community tribute atmosphere. Children receive ribbons and T-shirts. The first 600 registered 5K participants will find a Freedom 5K shirt in their goodie bag. Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers in the overall, masters, and grandmasters categories.
