Rowdy Gowdy is a June trail race held on the east side of Curt Gowdy State Park. It begins at 8:00 AM from the Volin Trailhead, located near Crystal Reservoir. Participants can select either a 5-mile or 7-mile course, each featuring approximately 1,000 feet of elevation gain.
The route primarily utilizes single-track trails within the network connecting Crystal Reservoir and Granite Springs Reservoir. The course is considered intermediate, including a few technical sections. This makes it suitable for runners seeking a challenge beyond a flat park run but not the demands of an ultra-distance event. Dogs are prohibited on the course.
