Run Santa Run Knoxville is a holiday-themed road race held at El Mezcal on North Forest Park Boulevard in Knoxville, Tennessee. Participants can select a 5K, 10K, or half marathon. The half marathon begins first in the morning, with the shorter races commencing shortly thereafter. The event incorporates a Santa theme through its race merchandise and is designed for a wide range of participants, not a specific type of runner.
All three distances commence and conclude at the timing station near El Mezcal. Aid stations are positioned approximately every 1.5 miles, offering GU gels, water, Gatorade, and fruit. This provision is beneficial for the half marathon runners as well as those in the shorter races. Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers, and to the leading runners in age categories ranging from 19 and under to 70 and over. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Jeff Roth Cycling Foundation.
