A Civil War cannon replica will start the race with a "BOOM!". The course tours the historical, river, and downtown districts, including a nature trail with uneven terrain and gravel. Watch for wood ducks and Canada Geese. Ghosts of Civil War soldiers may guide you through Fort Compher, past homes scarred by musket fire. It's history with an explosive twist.
