Sea Turtle & Sweetheart Running Festival 2027

The Sea Turtle & Sweetheart Running Festival is a beach-side running event in Gulf Shores, Alabama. All races start and finish at The Hangout on East Beach Boulevard. Runners can select the Sea Turtle Half Marathon, True Love 10K, Sweetheart 5K Run/Walk, or Be Mine 1 Mile. This variety accommodates those seeking a timed longer race and those preferring a short run or walk by the beach. The half marathon begins first, followed later in the morning by the 10K, 5K, and mile. All four races are timed, and awards are available for competitors. The Hangout also hosts the post-race party. Each registration includes food and beer tickets; beer is restricted to participants aged 21 and over. The race names reflect both the sea turtle theme and the Valentine’s timing, lending the festival a more relaxed, social atmosphere compared to a standard single-distance road race.
