Signarama Firecracker 5K

The Signarama Firecracker 5K begins July 4th at Turtle Bay Exploration Park in Redding, California. Flags are part of the race setup. This is a timed 5K designed for runners, walkers, and those seeking a holiday stroll before other Independence Day activities commence. The program starts at 8 AM with the Pledge of Allegiance and the Star-Spangled Banner. The 5K route is lined with flags. Younger children have their own Little Sparkler’s quarter-mile run or walk. Participants in the Little Sparkler event receive medals. Patriotic outfits and groups are eligible to win medals. Each racer’s registration includes a pancake breakfast, served by the Asphalt Cowboys from 8 AM to 10 AM. Additional tickets for breakfast can be purchased for non-racing family and friends. A local DJ provides music.
