Snowbird Challenge (50k - 13.1 - 5.2 - Relay)

The Snowbird Challenge takes place at Riverwest Preserve, offering four race distances: 50k, half marathon, 5.2 miles, or the Reindeer Relay. Each option utilizes the same 2.62-mile loop, structuring the day around repeated circuits rather than a linear course. 50k participants continue laps until the ultra distance is met, while those in shorter races and relay teams experience the winter course in reduced segments. Upstate Race Series presents this event with a lighthearted approach to cold-weather running. The event description refers to it as a run for "true winter wanderers" and a "frosty little proving ground," acknowledging runners who might prefer warmer conditions. Registration includes park entry, and finishers are awarded medals and custom bibs. The first 100 entrants will receive custom race socks, and the series also directs donations to local non-profits.
