Squeeze the Day 5k

The Squeeze the Day 5K is a flat 5K run/walk held at Sam Houston Jones State Park in Lake Charles, Louisiana. A 1-mile run/walk begins at the same time. This race benefits the Methodist Children's Home of Southwest Louisiana, which supports youth aged 12 to 17 with emotional and behavioral challenges. The course begins and ends within the state park, remaining entirely on park property. Some road sections are reduced to a single lane. Packet pickup is available the day before or on race morning. Family or friends may collect packets with a photo ID. Carpooling is advised due to limited parking. Post-race, participants receive food and beverages. Awards are given to the top male and female 5K finishers and to age-group winners in 10-year increments.
