Stars, Stripes & Strides 5K

Stars, Stripes & Strides is a July race day at Discovery Meadow in downtown San Jose, offering 5K and 10K runs, a kids run, and a virtual option for remote participation. The in-person 5K and 10K are described as fast and flat, with registration including a bib, a shirt, and a finisher medal. The kids run takes place within Discovery Meadow for ages 2 to 7, making the event more family-oriented than a typical road race. Participants can form or join teams, engage in the Run It Forward fundraising initiative, and receive a race shirt, medal, and a beer or mimosa for those 21 and older. All proceeds benefit the Valley Health Foundation, supporting public healthcare facilities and programs in Silicon Valley, including initiatives for underserved communities, family well-being, and healthcare staff resources.
