Trooper Thompsen Memorial 5k

The Trooper Thompsen Memorial 5k honors Illinois State Trooper Corey S. Thompsen, who died in the line of duty. Thompsen was a runner, and this event continues his passion for running and community. Woodard Family Park will host touch-a-truck, face painting, food trucks, a 50/50 drawing, and raffles. Proceeds benefit the Trooper Corey S. Thompsen Memorial Fund, which supports local charities and scholarships. Awards are given to top male and female first responders.
