Turkey Trot Oviedo

Turkey Trot Oviedo is a Thanksgiving Day 5K run/walk held at Oviedo Mall in Oviedo, Florida. The race begins at 8:00 a.m. at the mall, which also serves as the finish line. It is a chip-timed event designed for families, with a Kids run starting at 9:00 a.m. and a virtual 5K option available for those who prefer to participate independently. The event attracts a substantial local crowd, with over 1,600 participants in a recent year and capacity for approximately 2,000 runners and walkers. All finishers are awarded a custom medal. Awards are given to the top overall male and female finishers, as well as to participants in age groups ranging from 10 and under to 90 and over. Packet pickup, parking at the mall, vendors, music by DJCJ, and live performances are part of the race morning activities, creating a community gathering atmosphere alongside the timed 5K.
