Ugly Sweater Dash 5k, 10k, & Half

The Ugly Sweater Dash is an early-morning trail race at Burke Lake Park in Fairfax Station, offering 5K, 10K, and half marathon distances. The race begins at 7:30 AM on a fast, flat course along the lakefront, maintaining a participant range typically between 100 and 500. Participants are encouraged to wear their ugliest holiday sweater, though the event accommodates more than just serious racers; walkers and strollers are welcome, and a virtual option is available for those unable to attend in person. All participants receive chip-timed results, a technical event shirt, and a finisher medal. The race supports Paws for Purple Hearts, an organization assisting American service members with mobility challenges and trauma-related conditions.
