Ugly Sweater Fun Run 5k

Runners and walkers in ugly sweaters gather at Oskar Blues Brewery in Brevard, North Carolina, for a holiday-season 5K and 10K, presented by Hunter Subaru. This race is part of the Holiday Hustle Series, which includes the South Asheville Turkey Trot and the New Year’s Resolution Run, making it a convenient stop for a short winter running streak. Participants can choose to run in person or virtually. The in-person event offers chip timing with live results. The all-paved course winds through greenways, encircles the Brevard Sports Complex, and follows Brevard streets. The 5K route has an elevation gain of under 100 feet. The 10K follows the same loop twice and shares the same morning cutoff time. All finishers receive a commemorative ornament. Bibs include a beer ticket for the brewery party, and awards are given to overall and age-group finishers. Teams of 10 or more registered participants can compete in the Sweater Squad Showdown for a chance to win $1,000 for their selected organization.
