Waldenwoods Turkey Trot - Hartland Area Project Fundraiser 2026

The Waldenwoods Turkey Trot is a holiday-themed 5K trail run held at Waldenwoods Resort & Conference Center in Howell, Michigan. The race encircles Lake Walden and benefits the Hartland Area Project, a local organization supporting community life since 1929. It is designed for families, casual walkers or trotters, and runners seeking a timed 5K effort before the holiday season begins. The course remains on the resort grounds near the lake, offering participants a contained trail route instead of a city-road race. All participants receive a T-shirt, a goodie bag with post-race snacks, and a raffle ticket. Prizes are also awarded to the top male and female finishers. Waldenwoods offers a weekend option: cottages are available on site, with some located just steps from the start line.
