Yates-Astro Resolution Race and Trail Run to Benefit Bethesda Academy 2027

The Yates-Astro Resolution Race is an annual New Year 5K trail run held at Bethesda Academy, utilizing the school’s 650-acre campus. This event functions as a local fundraiser, distinct from large-city road races, and permits same-day registration. Hundreds of participants have taken part, with funds directed to support Bethesda Academy students. The course winds through campus trails, offering views of marshlands along the Moon River, coastal farmland, Bethesda’s cattle, and a donkey named Brownie. The Women’s Board of Bethesda Academy initiated this fundraiser; the board has a history of service to the school exceeding 100 years. Race proceeds contribute to specific student needs, such as air conditioning for the gymnasium, weight room upgrades, and the school’s blazer ceremony.
