Over deze race
Kapr Maraton Benešov is a non-stop team carp fishing competition held on Dolní Benešov lake in the Moravian-Silesian region of the Czech Republic. The competition takes place at the Opava 2C fishing ground, identified by number 471191. This 102-hectare gravel-pit lake is situated near the Opava River, between the cities of Opava and Ostrava. The event is organized by the Czech Fishery Association’s North Moravia and Silesia territorial association, with a limit of 18 teams participating.
Teams consist of two or three anglers and are open to Czech Fishery Association members aged 15 and older who meet the permit requirements. Competitors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The entry fee is 25,000 CZK per team, which covers a short-term permit for each team member. Prizes are awarded to the team as a whole, not to individual anglers. The lake offers anglers shallow-to-medium depths for most of its area, averaging 3-4 meters, with some sections reaching down to approximately 8 meters.
