The IV Solidarity Race of the Elena Tertre Foundation was held in Las Rozas on April 19th, a day filled with emotion, commitment, and solidarity. This year, over 700 people registered, reflecting the growth of the race and the community's support. The event saw an increase in participating families, with many children actively involved, learning the value of solidarity from a young age. The start and finish lines were located in the recreational green area of Dehesa de Navalcarbón, near the Las Rozas fairgrounds, in a natural setting that brought together families, athletes, and collaborators. The races took place throughout the morning, featuring two main distances of 4 and 8 kilometers with a single start. Additionally, a family walk and adapted children's races were organized. The event also included the presence of authorities who gave the starting signal. One of the most emotional moments was the testimony of osteosarcoma survivor patients who bravely shared their experiences. All proceeds from registrations will go entirely to the Elena Tertre Foundation's projects, including patient support programs, research, and assistance for children with cancer, particularly osteosarcoma. The event concluded with an awards ceremony and a solidarity raffle.
