Over deze race
La Gaziaquoise begins and ends at the Salle polyvalente on rue Pierre Sémard in Gauchy, northern France. It is a June sporting morning offering several ways to move: mountain bike routes, road cycling routes, gravel rides, and short walk or trail options. Participants depart in a rolling window from 7:30 to 10:00, making the day function more like a local randonnée than a single mass-start race.
The mountain bike distances typically span from about 25 km to around 70-75 km, while road cyclists can select shorter or longer loops, with 90 km frequently the longest option. Gravel riders have distinct distances, and walkers or trail runners can opt for roughly 7-8 km or 15 km. L’Association Gauchy VTT-Cyclo “Les Gaziers” organizes the event; children under 12 participate for free, aid stations are provided on the course, and a Pasta Box is available at the finish.
