Pedal Wye Valley, organized by Parkinson's UK, provides three cycling route distances: Bronze (25 miles), Silver (57 miles), and Gold (82 miles). All routes begin and end at Chepstow Racecourse, which offers complimentary parking. Registration costs are between £35 and £55, and every participant is provided with chip timing and a custom finisher’s medal.
The Bronze route traces the River Wye, passing Tintern Abbey and crossing Hale and Chepstow Woods. The Silver route goes as far as Coleford, Monmouth, and Golden Hill, featuring vistas from Whitestone and Cledding. The Gold route spans 82 miles across the Forest of Dean, ascending Symonds Yat, Harrow Hill, Coppett Hill, and Huntsham Hill. All routes are fully signposted and include first aid, mechanical support, and refreshment stations; Silver and Gold riders also receive lunch stops. A complimentary sports massage is offered at the finish. Proceeds benefit Parkinson's UK, an organization that relies on supporters for nearly all its funding.
