26^ Maratonina Internazionale Città di Udine

Udine’s Maratonina Internazionale is a September half marathon in northeastern Italy, starting in Piazza Primo Maggio and finishing in via Vittorio Veneto. Organized by the Associazione Maratonina Udinese, it is a road race open to FDAL members and Run Card holders, with a course noted as smooth and fast rather than hilly or technical. The field mixes local Friulian runners with a growing number of competitors from abroad, and a recent edition drew about 1,200 starters. Kenyan men have filled the podium, with winning times close to 1:03, while the women’s race has brought front-runners from Eritrea, Kenya, and Ethiopia. The event also gives the Premio Faustino Anzil, an award named for a respected figure in regional and national sport.
