Frieth Hilly 10k & 5k Run 2026

Frieth Hilly begins and ends at Frieth Primary School, located in the Chiltern Hills between Marlow and Henley-on-Thames. It features 10k and 5k races on mixed terrain, utilizing woodland paths and country roads instead of a flat road loop. The 10k route ascends 484ft and is for runners aged 16 and up, while the 5k ascends 196ft and is open to participants aged 11 and older. Both races commence in the morning, with registration taking place prior to the run. The course is sufficiently hilly to justify its name, offering outdoor running through woods, lanes, and open Chiltern vistas. The event has been held for over a decade and is organized by the Frieth school PTA. Proceeds directly support the school, funding children's wellbeing, sports, and outdoor education. All finishers receive medals, and top runners are awarded prizes. The community atmosphere extends post-race with refreshments, a BBQ, cake stalls, homemade cakes, and hot beverages available for both participants and onlookers. A bag drop service and onsite parking are provided.
