Center Education Foundation 5K & 1 Mile 2026

The Center Education Foundation 5K & 1 Mile begins at Red Bridge Shopping Center in South Kansas City. Both the 3.1-mile run/walk and the 1-mile fun run/walk start at 9 a.m. This is the event's 13th year, supporting the Center Education Foundation, a nonprofit focused on expanding educational opportunities. Center students have specific registration options, and a "Sleep In for the Foundation" entry is available for those who wish to support the cause without participating in the race. The race initiates the South Kansas City Block Party, linking the morning to a larger neighborhood gathering. Packet pickup is located inside Red Bridge Shopping Center, between Sun Fresh and Tanners, with race-day pickup offered before the start. All finishers will receive a T-shirt and medal. The 5K includes an awards ceremony for top finishers, and organizers will also present prizes for on-route contests.
