Javelina Jundred

Javelina Jundred is a Halloween-themed desert ultramarathon at McDowell Mountain Regional Park, north of Fountain Hills, Arizona. Runners choose between 100 miles, 100 kilometers, or the 31 km Jackass Night Trail, with the main weekend focused on costumes, night running, and a party atmosphere on the trails. The 100-mile course uses repeated rolling single-track loops, mostly on the Pemberton Trail, with an opening 22.3-mile loop that reaches the Escondido Trail and four shorter loops on Pemberton, Shallmo, and Cinch. The 100K follows the first three loops of the 100-mile route. Aid stations named Javelina Jeadquarters, Coyote Camp, Jackass Junction, and Rattlesnake Ranch contribute to the event’s desert-camp feel. The 100 miler also serves as a Western States qualifier and a Golden Ticket race for the top two women and men, attracting serious ultrarunners alongside charity runners, costumed crews, and participants celebrating the original costumed 100-mile trail run party.
