Monster Mash Run

The Monster Mash Run starts and finishes at Dover International Speedway in Dover, Delaware, using a motorsports landmark as its home base. It is a Halloween-themed running event with multiple distances, including the marathon, half marathon, 10K, and 5K, catering to both long-distance runners and those seeking a shorter race within a costume-heavy atmosphere. The course leads from the speedway through Dover streets and nearby areas. Runners will pass Delaware landmarks such as the Old State House and Legislative Hall, with stretches offering countryside views. The first Monster Mash Marathon took place in 2008, and the Halloween theme was integral from the beginning: runners and spectators are encouraged to dress up, allowing serious marathoners, casual 5K runners, and participants in full costume to share the same event.
