ORRRC Lou Cox at DeWeese Park 5k

The ORRRC Lou Cox 5k is a flat, paved 5 km run held at DeWeese Park, beginning at 2600 DeWeese Parkway in Dayton, Ohio. It takes place in early September as part of the ORRRC Team Series, with the Ohio River Road Runners Club and Dayton Track Club associated with the event. ORRRC members and children 14 and under participate without charge; non-members aged 15 and older pay $10. The course follows paved paths through DeWeese Park, Triangle Park, and Island MetroPark, including sections alongside the Stillwater and Great Miami Rivers. Participants check in at a table with a green tablecloth and affix a timing chip to a shoe before the start. Dayton Track Club members are encouraged to wear DTC apparel and sign in for the club, as every recorded time and pace contributes points toward the team series championship. Trophies are awarded to top finishers and runners in age groups.
