Glenaroua CFA hosts the Life Members Handicap, a masters handicap race. The day begins with check-in, followed by numbers, transponders, and bunches departing after their briefings. This event is for men and women aged 30 and over with current AusCycling membership. Riders must provide their grade and level for accurate handicapping.
The circuit consists of two laps around Glenaroua. Racing here focuses on maintaining awareness as groups merge on the road, rather than settling into one pack. "Multiple bunches will be on the course at any given time." A key piece of advice, learned through club racing experience, is to "Be respectful as you overtake / are overtaken." After finishing, riders should "exit the course as fast and safely as possible" while racing continues, then return numbers and gear to the desk.
