Wellcamp Airport Duathlon & Fun Run 2026

The Wellcamp Airport Duathlon is a run-bike-run event held at Wellcamp Airport in Toowoomba, Queensland. It utilizes the airport’s runway and service-road infrastructure for the race instead of typical city streets. The event offers multiple distances: Enticer, Sprint, and Standard duathlons, alongside 1.25 km, 5 km, and 10 km fun runs, and a Kids Duathlon for participants aged 7 to 11. The Standard race consists of a 10 km run, a 40 km bike leg, and a final 5 km run. Team entries are also permitted for the Enticer, Sprint, and Standard distances. The course is flat and open, featuring repeated laps on smooth asphalt. The run segments take place on sealed airport roads, and the bike leg utilizes dedicated airport service roads. This configuration provides good visibility for participants, minimizes elevation changes, and allows spectators to view athletes multiple times throughout the event, not just at the start and finish. The event attracts a diverse range of participants, from children and casual runners to age-group duathletes aiming for selection. It also functions as an Official AusTriathlon Age Group Team Qualifying Race for World Championships.
